Noelle Galvan

Principal

Noelle Galvan is the Principal of Galvan Solicitors and Head of the firm’s Commercial and Commercial Property Unit.

Noelle honed her legal skills with renowned Dublin-based law firm, McCann Fitzgerald, where she completed her apprenticeship and subsequently worked in their Commercial Property department. When she relocated to her native Sligo, she worked in a busy commercial practice, specialising in commercial property developments and commercial leases.

Noelle has extensive knowledge and experience in commercial Law and corporate transactions, property transactions (both commercial and residential), landlord and tenant law, with considerable expertise in commercial leases. She has acted for numerous financial institutions in commercial property acquisitions and commercial lending, advising on issues such as security and corporate compliance. Noelle’s experience extends to all types of commercial agreements and in dealing with complex commercial and contractual disputes. Noelle has also been a member of the legal panel for Mental Health Tribunals since 2008.

Melvin Smyth

Solicitor

Melvin qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and since then has gained vast experience in all areas of law. Melvin worked with large law firms in Limerick and Cork before returning to his native Sligo in 2014.

Melvin is an experienced property and litigation Solicitor with considerable expertise in all aspects of property law and District Court, Circuit and High Court litigation. Melvin has vast experience in conveyancing and property transactions (residential and commercial), wills and probate (administration of estates) and enduring powers of attorney, personal injury*, licensing and family law. Melvin also has considerable experience in employment law representing both employers and employees before the Workplace Relations Commission.

Education: University of Limerick – B.A. (Law & Accounting).

Rebecca Curley

Solicitor

Rebecca joined Galvan solicitors having previously worked in a prominent litigation firm locally.

Rebecca completed her legal training in a leading law firm in London, working within the Private Client Department for a number of years before returning home to Sligo. As a result, Rebecca has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of General Litigation/Dispute Resolution (including personal injury*, medical negligence*, and employment law) and Private Client (wills & probate, family law).

Rebecca is qualified to practise in both Ireland and England & Wales.

Education:- NUI Galway – Commerce (B.Comm) and Law (LLB).
